How the rhythm profile is built.

By

Published . Updated .

The Chronotype Quiz uses 19 chronotype-inspired questions to sketch whether your day naturally leans earlier, later, or somewhere in the middle. The result page turns that pattern into a personality-style rhythm profile with focus, social, and wind-down notes.

Step 1

Total score and band

Your answers produce a total score, which is mapped into a morning, intermediate, or evening-leaning band.

Step 2

Animal-style profile

The app groups answer patterns into archetypes like lion, bear, wolf, or dolphin so the output feels easier to interpret than a score alone.

Step 3

Schedule guidance

Energy style, focus blocks, and practical tips are derived from that profile so the result becomes usable in a real day.

Important limitations

  • The quiz is self-reflection, which means the result depends on how honestly and typically you answer.
  • Recent travel, shift changes, deadlines, or unusual routines can temporarily distort the outcome.
  • This quiz is for fun, self-reflection, and general lifestyle planning. It is not a medical or diagnostic tool.

What to do if the result feels wrong

Retake the quiz when your schedule is more typical, compare the timing windows rather than only the animal label, and use the guidance that genuinely matches how your better hours feel in practice.

Method notes

  • Morning and evening preferences: The questions are inspired by common morningness and eveningness patterns: when you like to start, focus, socialize, and wind down.
  • Animal-style profiles: The animal labels make the output easier to remember and share. They are personality-style shorthand, not formal categories.
  • Light routine planning: The output focuses on energy style, focus style, social rhythm, wind-down style, and one small thing to try.
